My hands actually trembled as I leafed through the final book dummy. I have seen the images and sequence a hundred times. But holding the hardcover in my hands and turning the half-cut pages – even though they were not glued to the spine yet – felt simply magical. The tactile satisfaction that a real book gives is a kind of happiness that no iPad or Kindle could ever deliver.
As I closed the book and looked at the inside cover once more, the tungsten light glinting off the debossed characters “Paradise | Edwin Koo”, I could finally feel the realness of it all.
Paradise will be launched within the next two months. Please subscribe to the blog / like the FB page to stay posted.
